Harwoods Group, South-East England – Case Study
Harwoods Group is a well-known and highly respected automotive retail group that sells luxury cars to the southeast of England and beyond. We have delivered servicing and installation projects for various Harwoods Group locations and hold an ongoing maintenance contract with them, including servicing the bollards on all of their 16 sites twice a year.
The breakdown
- Size – 16 locations in south-east England
- Project scope – ongoing Rhino Security service contract
The requirement
Harwoods Group approached Rhino Security to regularly service and maintain their static and telescopic bollards across 16 sites as part of their ‘Planned Preventative Maintenance’ approach.
This is an optional annual service we offer to all of our telescopic bollard and removable barrier customers. The service includes money-saving benefits, such as 20% off additional callout charges, and peace of mind that your bollards will be well looked after.
The solution
As part of the annual service agreement with Harwoods Group, our team visits each site twice a year for maintenance. We perform a full strip down, clean, and part replacement where necessary for every bollard installed at each of the 16 sites. We do this to ensure the bollards remain in good working order and are protected against harsh weather, collision damage, and misuse.
At each site, the Rhino Security team undertake detailed audits to ensure the client has accurate bollard schedules for the portfolio.

Testimonial
You never realise how important these security posts are until they fail, meaning you either can’t get on to your site in the morning or close in the evening and that was an all too often occurrence for our sites, until we partnered with Rhino and created our planned maintenance service schedule. By having the posts attended to on a 6 monthly basis keeps them in good working order and gives us advance notice of any future concerns before the point of failure, which has ultimately reduced all our stress levels and our overall yearly spend, as callout fees always mount up.
