Description
This innovative shallow-mount rising bollard system represents a major advancement in security technology, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional deep-foundation bollards. Developed by a specialist Micro Engineering Division, it’s designed to meet the growing demand for shallow-mount options, available in both manual and hydraulic configurations.
With a foundation depth of just 450mm (18 inches), it significantly reduces the need to reroute underground services, cutting installation time and costs. Remarkably, it requires no mains power and is powered using a standard 18-volt cordless drill, making it ideal for sites with limited access to utilities.
Despite its compact design, this rising bollard is impact-tested to stop a 7.5-tonne truck travelling at 30mph (48km/h) at both 45 and 90-degree angles. It’s a standalone system that adapts to ground contours and is incredibly low maintenance. Damaged components can be removed and replaced without disturbing the foundation. When fitted with a stainless steel cover, the bollard is not only functional but also visually appealing, making it a smart choice for modern, security-conscious environments.
